Pop music from the Philippines titled "Tadhana" is a recording by the electronic trio UDD, also known as Up Dharma Down, comprising Paul Yap, Carlos Tañada, and Ean Mayor. The band has been dubbed by Mark Coles of BBC Radio as “the Manila band most likely to cross over to the lucrative Anglophone market of North America.” UDD has accumulated over 300 million streams on Spotify to date. Comparisons have been drawn between UDD and artists such as The Chemical Brothers, Junior Boys, Disclosure, and Caribou. The trio has performed across Asia, Canada, and the US, and they have opened shows for a diverse range of artists, including Incubus, Bloc Party, The XX, Tegan and Sara, Cut Copy, Cigarettes After Sex, Tahiti 80, Hitomitoi, Ovall, and Yumi Zouma. UDD is currently engaged in the creation of their fifth album, a project that sees them further exploring their affinity for synth-pop, techno, and house music. This forthcoming album will also feature collaborations with a selection of emerging young artists.
