About this Song
Rock&roll, the foundational popular music genre that emerged from mid-20th century American cultural circuits before spreading to every corner of the globe, has thrived in the Philippines for decades, embedding itself into the local creative landscape to become a core part of the country’s broader musical canon. The sound M.V.O - Filler carries that lineage forward, rooted firmly in the rock and roll genre that has connected generations of creators and audiences across the archipelago and beyond. Genre classification is far more than a simple organizational tool for cataloguing creative works; it is a living framework that ties individual pieces of music to the long, sprawling history of the form they emerge from, creating conversations between new works and the decades of art that paved the way for their creation.
