Kahitna, one of the many acclaimed Indonesian acts to build their decades-long creative legacy on the Musica Studios label, channels nearly 40 years of artistic refinement into Titik Nadir, the special project crafted to mark the group’s 39th anniversary as a working creative entity. PT Musica Studios, the Jakarta-based music company that has supported Kahitna’s work for years, traces its own origins back to founder Yamin Widjaja, who first launched the enterprise under the name Metropolitan Studios in the 1960s, after building an early foundation running a local electronics store. The brand rebranded to Musica Studios in the 1970s, growing steadily over the following decades to cement its status as one of the largest music companies in Indonesia, with a diverse portfolio of operations that extend far beyond the basic recording and distribution of music.
