It is this same commitment to writing from the heart that guides their latest work, including the pop track Hail Rain or Sunshine, which arrives as part of the band’s bold new creative chapter, one forged in grief and renewed purpose after the 2023 passing of founding member Mark Sheehan. In the wake of that loss, remaining bandmates Danny O’Donoghue and Glen Power made a promise to carry forward the project the three had built together from the ground up, framing their continuation of the band as the most fitting tribute to Sheehan’s legacy, and a chance to reconnect with the worldwide community of fans that had long been part of the band’s extended family.
