About this Song
Rooted in the vibrant, cross-cultural pop ecosystem of the Philippines, this pop work carries the core of the emotionally vivid, melody-driven songcraft that defines The Script, the band behind the upcoming album Satellites that launches an entirely new chapter of their decades-long career, one shaped by profound loss and a fierce commitment to the community they built alongside their late co-founder. For the First Time - Acoustic sits within the long lineage of work that has enamoured fans across the globe, tying into the gift for writing songs rich with heady emotions and ever bigger melodies that has made the band a staple of pop culture for generations. The Script’s catalogue of global hits, tracks that have become woven into the personal milestones of millions of listeners, has cemented their status as one of the most enduring pop acts of their era, a legacy that deepened and took on new meaning following the tragic loss of founder member Mark Sheehan in 2023.
