About this Song
Rooted in the Philippines’ vibrant pop tradition that turns intimate, universal storytelling into a bond connecting artists and listeners across borders, this acoustic iteration of Breakeven draws its core power from the same emotional craft that has made The Script’s catalogue a staple for fans worldwide for decades. The band’s signature gift for wrapping heady, complex emotions in ever-expanding, unforgettable melodies turned a string of their tracks into global hits, from the anthemic ‘Hall of Fame’ and tender ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Moved’ to the soaring ‘Superheroes’ and the original, fan-favourite version of ‘Breakeven’, the track reimagined here with a soft, stripped-back perspective that amplifies its core vulnerability even as it anchors itself to the band’s long history of meeting listeners where they are.
