About this Song
Hip-pop as a genre has long found a dynamic, fertile home in the Philippines, where creative communities across the archipelago have spent decades reworking the core fusion of hip-hop’s rhythmic foundations and pop’s widespread, cross-cultural appeal to build a body of work that feels both rooted in local identity and connected to the global spread of the form, and POTPAKI exists as a vital addition to this long line of Filipino hip-pop works that continue to shape the country’s rich, multifaceted popular music ecosystem.
