About this Song
And, baby, that’s show business for you, the framing line that anchors the new record The Life of a Showgirl, which counts the Philippines-bred pop sound Elizabeth Taylor among its core pieces. Every choice woven into this pop work leans into the unapologetic, larger-than-life energy that defines the full album’s celebration of the chaos, glamour, and unvarnished truth of life spent in the public eye, a throughline that makes Elizabeth Taylor fit so seamlessly into the larger narrative the album lays out. Rooted in the rich, evolving pop landscape that has turned Filipino artists into boundary-pushing voices across global pop spheres, this track carries the same thoughtful, intentional craft that shapes every part of The Life of a Showgirl, a project that centers the experience of navigating the spotlight while holding onto the parts of yourself that exist beyond what audiences see on stage or in headlines.
