About this Song
Pop creation rooted in the creative landscape of the Philippines carries a specific, layered lineage that draws from decades of regional artistic innovation, global pop’s evolving cadences, and the unfiltered lived experiences of creators navigating the messy, thrilling, often unforgiving space of live performance and public career building that defines the broader body of work this sound emerges from. The title CANCELLED! distills a core tension that runs through every piece of that connected creative output, anchoring it to the raw, unvarnished look at performance life laid out in the full-length project The Life of a Showgirl, the new album that frames every work in this extended creative universe.
