About this Song
R&B from the Philippines carries a layered, sustained legacy that shapes every work categorized within the genre, including Missed Call. The classification of a sound as R&B ties it to a decades-long tradition of creators across the archipelago who have adapted global R&B frameworks to fit the unique cultural, social, and creative contexts of their home regions, while contributing to the genre’s ongoing global evolution. No sound tagged as Philippine R&B exists in isolation; every new addition to the genre joins a rich catalog of work that has grown and shifted alongside changes in how music is created, shared, and experienced across the country and across the world.
