Malcolm Todd, an American singer-songwriter and record producer from Los Angeles, California, was born Malcolm Todd Hobert on September 15, 2003. His musical approach combines indie pop, alternative R&B, bedroom pop, and R&B, often featuring his vocals, bass guitar, and guitar. Todd initially gained traction on TikTok in 2023 with viral singles such as "Art House" and "Roommates," with the latter, a song exploring a relationship's decline, becoming a breakthrough hit in June 2023 and leading to further singles like "Mr. Incorrect" and "4Me 4Me." Following this TikTok success, he signed with Columbia Records. Todd's debut mixtape, *Sweet Boy*, was released in 2024, followed by his self-titled debut studio album, *Malcolm Todd*, on April 4, 2025, which reached number 49 on the Billboard 200. The lead single from this album, "Chest Pain (I Love)," marked his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 68.
