About this Song
Rock & roll, the genre that anchors this sound, has spent decades evolving beyond its mid-20th century American origins to take root in local scenes across every continent, including the vibrant, interconnected network of creators and audiences that sustain the form in the Philippines. For generations, rock and roll has been far more than an imported musical trend in the country; it has grown into a core pillar of the Philippines’ broader musical landscape, embraced by communities across urban hubs and rural regions alike, with local creators building on the genre’s foundational cultural DNA to create works that resonate both with domestic listeners and global fans of rock and roll.
