Sugarcane, the six-piece folk-pop band hailing from Manila, brings the same thoughtful, emotionally resonant craft that has become their trademark to Gabi, their pop offering rooted in the same commitment to storytelling that has earned the group a loyal, widespread audience across the Philippines and beyond. For years, the band has built a discography defined by deliberate, connection-driven work, having released more than a dozen singles that have amassed millions of streams across all major platforms, a milestone that cements their ability to create music that lands with listeners on a profound, personal level. Their breakout track “Leonora” pushed their work to new mainstream heights, earning over 100 million streams and peaking at #21 on the Spotify Top 50 charts, a commercial and creative milestone that spoke to their unique ability to balance accessible, engaging soundscapes with the layered lyricism that has been a core part of their identity since their earliest releases.
