About this Song
The rich, cross-pollinating creative landscape that nurtures creators working across the Philippines has long turned to the expansive, shape-shifting framework of R&B as a vessel for work that weaves local cultural nuance with the core sonic and thematic throughlines that have made the genre a global pillar of creative expression. R&B as a form has always carried an inherent flexibility, able to absorb new influences, adapt to new cultural contexts, and evolve to meet the expressive needs of every creator who takes up its core traditions, a capacity that creators based in the Philippines have leaned into to craft works that speak both to universal experiences of connection, reflection, and identity, and the specific textures of life rooted in their home communities across the archipelago.
