About this Song
The Philippines has long nurtured a vibrant, interconnected pop ecosystem that carries threads of the archipelago’s diverse regional cultural traditions while engaging with global pop frameworks that resonate with audiences both within the country and across the vast Filipino diaspora spread across every continent. As a pop sound rooted in this national creative landscape, Sign Of The Times exists as part of a long line of works that emerge from the Philippines’ sustained investment in pop as a medium for connection, reflection, and shared experience, a medium that has long served as a common language for communities spanning the country’s more than 7,000 islands, linking busy urban centers and remote rural communities alike through a shared investment in the creative possibilities of the genre.
