About this Song
The Filipino pop creator behind alibi builds every layer of their work around the universal, deeply intimate twists of young romance, the theme that forms the backbone of their creative output, which they share with fans and followers alike through their active public Instagram presence, @sombr. Alibi draws its core energy from the quiet, unscripted moments that define the late nights and young romance that anchor all of their work, the small, fleeting interactions that stick with you long after the sun comes up and the night’s soft haze fades into the rush of daily life. As a creator rooted in the Philippines’ vibrant, ever-evolving pop landscape, they channel the specific blend of vulnerability and quiet courage that comes with navigating young love in a world that often feels like it’s moving too fast to pause for the small, meaningful moments that make romance feel tangible, real, and worth every messy, unplanned choice that leads you to someone new.
