About this Song
This pop sound originates from the Philippines, and carries the title Sandali. It falls under the broad umbrella of original Pilipino music, or OPM, the standard classification for homegrown Filipino popular music. The group behind the work is Soapdish, a Pop/Rock OPM band whose creative identity informs every track they release. Soapdish has earned widespread local recognition for two hit songs, the first titled “TENSIONADO” and the second titled “PWEDE BA”. Those two hits cemented the band’s core creative framework, a framework that carries through to their work on Sandali. That framework weaves three distinct sonic and lyrical elements together to form the band’s signature sound. The first of those elements is love-struck lyrics that form the emotional backbone of every track the band records. These lyrics anchor Soapdish’s work, giving every song a relatable emotional core that resonates with Filipino audiences. The second element is the melodic tunes that carry those lyrics across each track’s run time.
