The Filipino pop recording "Summer Song" comes from Silent Sanctuary, a six-piece alternative pop-rock band formed in 2002. The group pioneered a sound dubbed "Rockestra" by blending classical instruments like cello and violin with traditional band instruments. Silent Sanctuary has released an EP, *Kahimanawari*, and four full-length albums: *Fuschiang Pag-ibig*, *Mistaken For Granted*, *Monodramatic*, and *Langit Luha*. The band's music, known for its anthemic and nostalgic qualities, has resonated with students and younger generations, producing chart-topping hits such as "Ikaw Lamang," "Pasensya Ka Na," "Kundiman," "Hiling," and "Bumalik Ka Na Sa’kin." Their songs have also been featured in local movie soundtracks and television series like *Maalala Mo Sana*, *Balang Araw*, and *Sa’yo*. Silent Sanctuary, composed of Sarkie Sarangay, Ronnie Ropal, Allen Calixto, Kim Mirandilla Ng, Anjo Inacay, and Poch Villalon, has performed internationally since 2017.
