About this Song
Long celebrated for blending classical orchestration with the raw energy of rock, Silent Sanctuary built a two-decade legacy around their one-of-a-kind trademark “Rockestra” sound, a fusion that cemented their status as pioneers of the Philippine alternative pop scene. That innovative framework comes to full, vivid life on Sa’yo - Orchestra Version, a pop recording from the Filipino six-piece that leans into the very musicality that made them a cross-generational staple for audiences across their home country and beyond. Formed in 2002, the band rewrote the rules for local acts by weaving classical string instruments like cello and violin into the standard guitar, bass, and drum setup that anchored most of their peers, a choice that set their discography apart from the first time they stepped into a recording studio.
