Rooted in the Philippines’ vibrant pop landscape, Ingat Ka arrives from a collective that has spent more than 20 years reshaping local popular music, blending unexpected instrumental pairings to create a sound that feels both familiar and entirely one-of-a-kind. Formed in 2002, the 6-piece alternative pop-rock band behind the track has earned recognition as one of the local scene’s most influential pioneers, thanks to their choice to weave classical instruments like cello and violin into the standard framework of a rock band, giving rise to a signature sound they dubbed “Rockestra” that set them apart from their peers from their earliest years. Over their career, the group has built an extensive discography that includes a string of standalone singles, an EP entitled Kahimanawari, and four full-length albums: Fuschiang Pag-ibig, Mistaken For Granted, Monodramatic, and Langit Luha.
