Hinga Ng Malalim sits within the expansive discography of Filipino pop trailblazers Silent Sanctuary, the 6-piece alternative pop-rock band formed in 2002 that has redefined what local popular music can sound like for more than two decades. Recognized as one of the pioneers of mixing classical instruments such as cello and violin with standard band instruments, the group introduced their one-of-a-kind trademark sound dubbed “Rockestra” early in their career, a fusion that would become their calling card and set a template for other acts looking to blend disparate sonic traditions into something cohesive and deeply resonant. Over the years, the band has produced a steady stream of work that expands far beyond their early breakthroughs, including standalone singles, an EP entitled “Kahimanawari”, and four full-length albums namely Fuschiang Pag-ibig, Mistaken For Granted, Monodramatic, and Langit Luha.
