About this Song
The sextet known for blending classical and modern band instrumentation to pioneer a one-of-a-kind sound they dubbed “Rockestra” has built a two-decade career that extends far beyond their home country of the Philippines, with pop works like Di Na Kita Mahal standing as testaments to the creative range that has made them a staple of local and global Filipino music scenes. Formed in 2002, Silent Sanctuary grew from a small group of musicians reimagining pop and rock conventions to one of the most influential acts of their generation, their core creative identity centered on weaving cello and violin into the traditional foundation of a band, a choice that set them apart from nearly every other act working in the Philippine mainstream at the time of their arrival.
