Rooted in the thriving pop and rock ecosystem of the Philippines, Silent Sanctuary’s core creative identity emerged shortly after the band’s formation in 2002, when the six-piece group began experimenting with a fusion that would redefine local independent pop for decades to come. Recognized as one of the first acts to weave classical instruments like cello and violin into the standard framework of a rock band, the group codified its signature approach under the name “Rockestra,” a trademark sound that carries through every release in its catalog, including Amakakeru Ryu No Hirameki. Over the 20-plus years since its founding, the band has built an extensive discography that spans standalone singles, the EP Kahimanawari, and four full-length studio albums: Fuschiang Pag-ibig, Mistaken For Granted, Monodramatic, and Langit Luha.
