Silent Sanctuary, a Filipino rock band formed in Metro Manila in 2001, is known for mixing classical instruments like cello and violin with rock music, a sound they've dubbed "Rockestra." The band's founding members in 2001 were Norman Dellosa, Paolo Legaspi, and Allen Calixto. Anjo Inacay, a cellist, joined as the fourth member, adding classical instrumentation to their sound, followed by violist Jett Ramirez and violinist Chino David. After Norman Dellosa's departure, Sarkie Sarangay took over vocal duties, and Jason Rondero became the new bassist after Paolo Legaspi left. The band has released five studio albums, including "Ellipsis of the Mind" (2004), "Fuchsiang Pag-ibig" (2007), "Mistaken for Granted" (2009), "Monodramatic" (2013), and "Langit. Luha." (2015). Their songs, such as "Maalala Mo Sana," "Balang Araw," and "Sa'yo," have been featured in local movie and TV series soundtracks. Silent Sanctuary has collaborated with artists like Aia De Leon, Jennylyn Mercado, and Brisom.
