Formed in Metro Manila in 2001, Filipino rock band Silent Sanctuary is known for a "Rockestra" sound that blends classical instruments like cello and violin with rock music. Cellist Anjo Inacay joined as the fourth member, with violist Jett Ramirez and violinist Chino David later becoming formal members. The band has released five studio albums, beginning with the independently produced *Ellipsis of the Mind* in February 2004. After Norman Dellosa's departure, Sarkie Sarangay took over vocal duties, and Jason Rondero became the band's new bassist. Silent Sanctuary's second album, *Fuchsiang Pag-ibig*, was released in 2007 under Universal Records, followed by *Mistaken for Granted* in 2009. The band's fourth album, *Monodramatic*, was released in 2013, and their fifth, *Langit. Luha.*, in 2015. Silent Sanctuary's songs have been featured in local movie and TV series soundtracks, and their music is known for being anthemic with high school and college students.
