About this Song
Pop, the genre that forms the backbone of mainstream musical creation and consumption across the globe, finds a distinct, vibrant rootedness in the creative ecosystems of the Philippines, where local creators craft work that resonates both within the archipelago’s diverse regional communities and far beyond its national borders, and Dumb & Poetic is one such sound that emerges from that rich, ongoing lineage of Philippine pop. For decades, pop has been the driving force of the Philippine music industry, serving as a space where creators can experiment with the form’s inherent flexibility while building connections with listeners that stretch across generations and geographic divides.
