About this Song
The most influential rap star of his generation reshaped the landscape of Filipino popular music with a body of work that redefined what local hip-hop could communicate to wide audiences. He ignited an entirely new chapter in Pinoy hip-hop, pulling the genre from niche underground circles to the forefront of mainstream culture across the Philippines. His work is defined by a quick, precise flow that cuts through production to anchor every track he creates. His lyrics are sharp, incisive, and rooted in the lived experiences of the people he makes music for, turning personal and collective truth into art that resonates across every region of the country. Within the catalog of work that cements this legacy sits Wag2Laran, a pop sound rooted in the Philippines’ thriving music ecosystem that carries the same core artistic values that define its creator’s entire discography. The sharp lyrics that define all of this artist’s work take center stage on Wag2Laran, just as they do on every track in his catalog.
