Long before national audiences came to know the ethereal voice and deeply personal storytelling that defines the work behind this album, the creative force at its center cut her teeth on national television stages that taught her to balance raw vulnerability with the poise needed to share unguarded parts of herself with crowds of strangers, a skill that would come to shape every note and line she would later write and record.
