About this Song
Rock and roll has long served as more than a musical category in the Philippines, acting as a unifying force that brings together creators and audiences across the archipelago’s hundreds of inhabited islands, drawing on the genre’s core emphasis on unfiltered creative expression to resonate with generations of people who have turned to its sounds for connection, reflection, and joy. The sound High fits squarely within this longstanding tradition, leaning into the core structural and thematic throughlines that define rock and roll as a global genre while carrying the distinct, unmistakeable perspective of a creator rooted in the country’s vibrant, interconnected creative community.
