About this Song
Rock and roll’s spread across every continent over the past seven decades has turned a once-niche genre born of specific regional creative origins into a global creative language, one that artists adapt, rework, and make entirely their own while holding onto the core energy that made the form so transformative in its earliest years. For creators working in the Philippines, that process of adaptation and reimagining has turned rock and roll into a staple of the local creative landscape, a form that can hold every kind of artistic vision, from small, intimate independent works to large-scale projects that connect with audiences across the archipelago and far beyond its borders.
