About this Song
Pop as a transnational creative form draws its vitality from the specific cultural, social, and artistic landscapes that spawn every iteration, turning a broadly accessible framework into a work that carries the imprint of its origin even as it resonates across borders. Hot Keys emerges from that intersecting space, rooted in the creative communities of the Philippines while working within the pop genre’s global language of connection, bringing the positionalities of its origin to bear on a form that has long adapted to reflect the needs and voices of the creators who take it up.
