About this Song
The pop song "DUNGKA!" by SB19 is a vibrant example of music from the Philippines. SB19 is a five-member Filipino boy band who debuted in 2018. They are the first Filipino and Southeast Asian act to be nominated for a Billboard Music Award for Top Social Artist. The group's name, SB19, is an abbreviation for "Sound Break" and "19," which refers to the cultural bridge between South Korea (where K-Pop originated) and the Philippines (where the members are from), as 19 is the sum of the country codes for both nations. "DUNGKA!" showcases the group's dynamic sound.
