About this Song
Rooted in the long, interconnected lineage of R&B that has taken shape across the Philippines’ vast, geographically dispersed creative communities, this sound carries the specific grounding of work forged in a country where the genre has been reimagined, reshaped, and woven into the fabric of local creative life for generations, never straying so far from the core emotional and structural throughlines that make R&B such an enduring, universal form of creative expression that it loses its connection to the global genre’s legacy, while still feeling entirely rooted in the specific cultural context that gave rise to it.
