About this Song
The Pop recording "Simoy" from the Philippines follows Rob Deniel's earlier hits "Ulap," "Gabi," and "Sinta," which established his signature soft rock sound inspired by classic Manila Sound. Deniel, a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, wrote, arranged, and produced his debut single "Ulap" independently. His subsequent releases, including "Ang Pag-Ibig," "RomCom," "Miss Miss," "Arrowmance," and "Puso," continued to build on his romantic musicality. "Simoy" arrives after Deniel's viral covers of Ogie Alcasid's "Nandito Ako" and "Ikaw Sana," and his EP "RD Covers," which featured these renditions alongside other signature tracks like "Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang" and Jaya's "Wala Na Bang Pag-Ibig."
