About this Song
Across the thousands of islands that make up the Philippine archipelago, moments of collective transition are stitched together by shared sounds that turn private reflection into public celebration, and this pop work, titled New Year’s Day, fits neatly into that long lineage of music that anchors life’s most pivotal turning points to melodies that resonate across generations and communities, even as they fit within the global framework of pop that connects listeners across borders and backgrounds.
