"Sana Maulit Muli" is a pop recording from the Philippines, performed by Regine Velasquez. Velasquez, often called "Asia's Songbird" and "The Queen of Pop" in her home country, is recognized for her extensive vocal range and belting technique. She is the best-selling Filipino artist of all time, having sold over seven million records in the Philippines and 1.5 million in Asia. Born Regina Encarnacion Ansong Velasquez on April 22, 1970, in Tondo, Manila, her early vocal training included her father immersing her neck-deep in the sea to strengthen her core and stomach muscles and develop lung capacity. Velasquez rose to prominence after winning the television talent show Ang Bagong Kampeon in 1984 and the Asia Pacific Singing Contest in 1989. She initially released a single titled "Love Me Again" in 1986 under the name Chona, which was not commercially successful. She adopted the stage name Regine Velasquez for her debut studio album, *Regine* (1987), released under Viva Records.
