About this Song
The pairing of Martin Nievera and Regine Velasquez anchors the pop sound Forever, a work rooted in the creative community of the Philippines that carries all the core categorical markers of pop as a global genre while being firmly situated within the lineage of works created by artists based in the country. This sound is tied to the network of pop creators that form the backbone of the Philippines’ vibrant recorded music landscape, a community that has long contributed to the global spread and ongoing evolution of pop music as one of the most dominant forms of recorded sound in the world. The two credited artists, both named as the core creative forces behind this work, bring their individual creative practices to bear on Forever, collaborating to produce a single, distinct pop sound that bears the mark of their combined input, as formalized in the official credits that accompany the recording.
