Regine Velasquez, known as "Asia's Songbird" and "The Queen of Pop" in the Philippines, performs "Araw Gabi," a pop recording from her home country. Her career, which began with her winning the television talent show Ang Bagong Kampeon in 1984 and the Asia Pacific Singing Contest in 1989, showcases her extensive vocal range and belting technique. Velasquez initially released "Love Me Again" in 1986 under the name Chona, but it was not commercially successful. She adopted the stage name Regine Velasquez for her 1987 debut studio album, *Regine*, released under Viva Records. She has since become the best-selling Filipino artist of all time, having sold over seven million records in the Philippines and 1.5 million in Asia. Her 1994 album, *Listen Without Prejudice*, sold over 700,000 copies, making it her highest-selling album to date, with its lead single "In Love with You" named "Video of the Decade" by MTV Asia.
