About This Album
really got me thinking unfurls as a Music/Mix album rooted in the Philippines, a project that embraces the open-ended possibilities of its genre classification to reject the rigid boundaries that often force creative work to fit preexisting industry categories. The choice to frame the collection under a Music/Mix banner is far from a casual label; it signals a commitment to centering artistic intent over the commercial incentives that push most albums to align with one narrow sonic lane, an impulse that resonates deeply across the Philippines’ sprawling, interconnected community of creators who have long merged disparate sonic traditions to build work that feels uniquely, unapologetically their own.
