About this Song
Artists rooted in the Philippine music continuum who work within R&B bring a distinct set of cultural references and structural sensibilities to every work they create, drawing on decades of domestic music evolution that has long intertwined global R&B traditions with the specific artistic priorities that define creative output from the archipelago. For creators building work in this space, every new sound they release is anchored in a community of fellow artists who have spent years refining how R&B can be expanded, reframed, and reoriented to speak to audiences both within the Philippines and beyond the nation’s borders, turning a genre that first traveled to the region through global creative currents into something that feels entirely specific to the contexts that shape their work.
