About this Song
R&B has long evolved beyond its foundational origins to become a global language of creative expression, adapting and integrating with the distinct creative currents of every region it touches, shaping and being shaped by the cultural contexts that welcome it into local artistic practices. The sound Listen emerges from the creative ecosystem of the Philippines, a nation with a long, layered history of embracing international musical forms while nurturing the unique voices that define its own creative legacy, making it a space where global genres feel both familiar and entirely new, reworked to fit the perspectives and artistic priorities of the creators who build their work within those frameworks.
