This pop recording from the Philippines is titled "Wala Lang Yun." The artist, Parokya Ni Edgar, formed in Ateneo High School in Manila, Philippines, with an initial lineup including vocalist Chito Miranda, back-up singer and dancer Vinci Montaner, guitarists Darius Semana and Gab CheeKee, bassist Buwi Meneses, and drummer Dindin Moreno. Originally known as Comic Relief, the group specialized in performing parodies of well-known songs. In 1994, the band began performing at Club Dredd, a significant venue for alternative music in Manila. Their distinctive oddball outfits and goofy stage antics quickly established them as local favorites. Parokya Ni Edgar was eventually signed to Universal, a deal facilitated by Richard Tan, who also managed Philippine punk groups like The Youth and Teeth. Robert Javier of The Youth produced Parokya Ni Edgar's 1996 debut album, *KHANGKHUNGKHERRNitZ The Album*. This unusually titled album achieved platinum status within six months of its release.
