"Para Sayo" is a pop recording from the Philippines. The song is credited to Parokya Ni Edgar, a band known for writing witty pop-punk songs with often strange subject matter. The group formed in Ateneo High School in Manila, Philippines, with vocalist Chito Miranda, back-up singer and dancer Vinci Montaner, guitarists Darius Semana and Gab CheeKee, bassist Buwi Meneses, and drummer Dindin Moreno. Originally named Comic Relief, the band specialized in performing parodies of well-known songs. In 1994, the band began performing at Club Dredd, a popular venue for alternative music in Manila. Their unusual outfits and goofy stage antics quickly made them local favorites. Parokya Ni Edgar was eventually signed to Universal, with assistance from Richard Tan, manager of Philippine punk groups The Youth and Teeth. The Youth's Robert Javier produced Parokya Ni Edgar's 1996 debut, *Khangkhungkherrnitz The Album*, which achieved platinum status in six months.
