About this Song
Rock & Roll, a form of music that has traveled far from its early foundational spaces to take root in communities around the globe that adapt its core energy to their own cultural landscapes, claims a distinct, enduring place in the creative ecosystem of the Philippines, where the genre has been a staple of local creative output for generations, growing alongside other forms of local and imported music to shape a creative sector that prioritizes both fidelity to the core traits that define rock and roll as a category, and the unique perspectives that creators in the Philippines bring to every work they produce.
