About this Song
Pop creators based in the Philippines build their practices atop a rich, interconnected network of creative expression that spans community-led performance spaces, cross-regional creative collaborations, and the global exchange of pop craft that shapes how popular music is made and shared across borders. Every artist working within the country’s pop ecosystem carries with them a set of influences that tie their work to both the long history of popular music making in the Philippines and the evolving currents of contemporary pop that reach audiences across the world, allowing each new recording to exist as a distinct extension of that lineage, rooted in place while speaking to the universal impulses that drive all pop creation.
