After a decade apart, split by musical differences that pulled the seminal Filipino group off recording and touring circuits in 2007, Orange & Lemons announced their reformation as a trio in July 2017, kicking off a new era of output that includes the luminous pop track Yer So Special. The band first formed in 1999, the brainchild of singer-songwriter and guitarist Clem Castro, who recruited drummer Ace Del Mundo and his brother JM del Mundo on bass to round out the original lineup. From its earliest days, the group expanded its core to include second vocalist Mcoy Fundales, who contributed to every project from the band’s formation through its final 2007 pre-hiatus reception, building a discography that blended alternative rock, indie pop, and experimental music.
