Formed in 1999, Orange & Lemons initially featured singer-songwriter/guitarist Clem Castro, drummer Ace Del Mundo, and bassist JM del Mundo. Mcoy Fundales served as a second vocalist until 2007. The band's sound blends alternative rock, indie pop, and experimental music, drawing influences from groups like The Smiths, The Beatles, and Eraserheads. After a hiatus beginning in 2007 due to musical differences, the band reformed as a trio in July 2017. They released the single "Lovers Go, Lovers Come" in December 2017 and, in 2018, an updated version of their debut album, *Love in the Land of Rubber Shoes & Dirty Ice Cream (15th Anniversary Edition)*.
