Pag-ibig Sa Tabing-Dagat - 2022 Remaster
About this Song
Pag-ibig Sa Tabing-Dagat - 2022 Remaster is rooted in the decades-long creative arc of the Filipino band Orange & Lemons, whose career has shaped the Philippines’ independent music landscape for nearly a quarter century, falling under the broad pop umbrella that anchors the band’s cross-genre discography. Formed in 1999 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Clem Castro, alongside drummer Ace Del Mundo and his brother JM del Mundo on bass, the group emerged at a moment when local alternative and indie acts were beginning to carve out both mainstream and critical space, drawing from a cross-generational pool of beloved influences that span both global and local icons. The band’s core sound has long woven together alternative rock, indie pop, and experimental sensibilities, pulling direct inspiration from legendary acts like The Smiths, The Beatles, and trailblazing Filipino collective Eraserheads, artists that left their mark on every release the group put out in their first run of activity.
