Founded in 1999 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Clem Castro alongside drummer Ace Del Mundo and his brother JM del Mundo on bass, Orange & Lemons emerged as a force that would reimagine the contours of Filipino popular and independent music across two decades of activity. Within the band’s expansive discography sits Lihim, a pop recording rooted in the Philippines’ rich, layered creative landscape that has long blurred lines between global sonic influences and local artistic traditions, a tension that has defined Orange & Lemons’ own work from its earliest days. Former member Mcoy Fundales served as second vocalist from the group’s formation up until its initial disbandment in 2007, the split driven by unresolvable musical differences that put a 10-year pause on the band’s collaborative output.
