The Filipino pop recording If I Could Speak My Mind comes from an act whose decades-long career redefined the boundaries of independent and mainstream sound in its home country, built by a core of musicians who first came together to make music in 1999. Founded that year by singer-songwriter and guitarist Clem Castro, alongside drummer Ace Del Mundo and his brother JM del Mundo on bass, the group added second vocalist Mcoy Fundales at its launch, a role he held through the band’s first full run, which stretched until 2007.
